I'm going to Uinversity te he he he. Today was UK results day for AS/A level students, breaths were held tight as we opened our results papers, for a result that could mean disaster or joyous bouncing for college students wishing to go to university. And tadaaaa I got three passing grades when all I needed was two! Haha world I kick butt...well not compared to my smartass friend who got an A and two Bs, damn her. She's over shadows my miserly B, C & D grades. Ah well we're both into our universities so all is well! ;D
Now begins the mad rush of getting everything ready for September ek!

YAAAY! Congratulations! ^____^ Have a cookie :3
I know what the mad rush feels like, going to university myself. I am moving out at the same time, so add a nervous father to the mix that doesn't want to let go of his 'little girl' and you get the stressful situation I'm in. XD

Congrats, the both of you, and best of wishes. I still have another two years, but I'm starting to look around in state for schools with good engineering/computing programs. But this year, I signed up for two college level / credit courses (called AP in the United States) -- Computer Science and Chemistry. Since 1985, only three girls have made a 5 (highest possible score) on the AP Computer Science exam at my school. And the AP Chemistry program at my school, although being the best in the state, is going to be death. I go back to school on August 20 th, this coming Monday. Woe is me. XD We shall have to get some hardcore roleplaying in before hand.

Yay a cookie *cheesy grin* Hmmm I'm going to live in the halls of residence at the uni so I know what you mean Taita. Although I'm the last of the 'children' to leave so its not to bad for parental not-wanting-to-let-go syndrome. Only problem is I've got to live up to my sister's and brother's record...My brother Luke is a big smartass and has just accepted a job at Cambridge University as a researcher, not to mention he's got a PHD...*grumbles* damn his cleverness *shakes fist*
I hope you have fun at school Katie, I'm sure you'll enjoy it ^^ And best wishes to you Taita with the whole going to uni thing, we'll all have to tell our student stories to one another ;D

I'm the oldest of three, so I expect to take the brunt of the "not-wanting-to-let-go" syndrome when I go off to college -- or university, as you Europeans seem to call it. Good for your brother. I take it he is significantly older than you, if he has a PHD. And yes, you both will have to tell us stories! I went to orientation today. I got my schedule, my books, my locker, and a molehill of paperwork. I met the new AP Comp. Sci. teacher too. He's been in the industry since the '60s, but this is his first year of teaching. He says he hopes his students will kind of guide him through the process. Poor man. I know at least one student in his AP class who is going to be -- to put it lightly -- difficult. Said student is a lot like Nex. Oh, and I got my younger brother to ask the AP Chemistry teacher if he was in the CIA. Perhaps Keeper may know of a special agent who teaches chemistry on the side? xD

Aw XD My brother is older than I, but he hasn't moved out yet.. So I get the syndrome. How nice of him. CIA teachers? XDD
And well, here in Holland college isn't the same as university. There's a significant difference between the two. :3 University is like the highest form of education, and beneath that is college. College is more skill-oriented, say practical skills, and university is more the theoretical road. In my new teachers words "University writes College's books." So you get the difference. X3
.. But then again, our system is completely different from the American system to begin with. XD;

Ah your system is like the one over here Taita, University is the highest form and is known as Further Education. How if you want to go to university you have to go to college a.k.a Higher Education. College is only a span of two years between 16-18 yr olds (Unless the student's school has a higher education programme, which most don't) and University is 18+. So yeah we Brits are different too My brother is eight years older than me...so yeah he got a big head start damn him. My sister is five years older than me, she did not go on to do a PHD so she returned home after completing her three year course and is currently about to move out. That means me (the baby) is left at home with mother dearest or Hubbard as we renamed her tehe. But I'll be back and forth from Uni probably on a weekly basis since its not to far away. I shall have to leave my room with a view and my precious computer *hugs* She's going to be left behind and replaced with a laptop. -Yes my computer has a gender...Don't ask.

Yes, CIA teachers. The chemistry teacher is famous at our school. You could start any kind of rumor about him and most people would believe it. There is one rumor that he is in the CIA, and that's been going around for several years.
Yesterday at dinner, my family and I were discussing orientation and my mother said that the chemistry teacher did look like a CIA agent. xD
Helen, I have a laptop that I have affectionately named "My high-tech pet rock," or "Rocky" for short. xD

Tehe That's makes my computer having a gender a little less odd lol. Mind you she's only female because men seems to think all machines are women...I just thought I'd keep to their tradition. Well computer and I are busy this weekend re-designing and changing every thing on my website not to mention actually finishing it this time >.< - It's got a pretty front page ;D
